The Greater Fresno Area Chamber of Commerce is committed to representing the interest of business with government. The Fresno Chamber’s public policy committee, the Government Affairs Council (GAC), provides a basis to act and influence on local, state and federal government issues and have a good working relationship with its elected officials thus creating a favorable and profitable business climate.
The GAC is a committee of the Fresno Chamber. The GAC consists of 15 business-people who meet monthly to debate and direct the Fresno Chamber’s effort to represent the interests of business with local, state and federal government. In October of each year, the GAC develops a policy platform which serve as the Fresno Chamber’s legislative priorities.

- Knowledge of local, state and/or federal public policy issues.
- Industry representation.

- Past and current political involvement.
The GAC meets the second Wednesday of each month at noon at the Fresno Chamber office.
