What is the application deadline?
The application deadline for Class 31 was May 16, 2014. Submission of an application does not ensure an interview.
What happens after I submit an Application?
You will receive acknowledgment of your application submission. Your application will be reviewed by the Steering Committee and those selected for an interview will be notified of the date/time of interviews.
Is it like a job interview?
This is an important part of the process and should be treated professionally. This is your opportunity to market yourself to the program and you should prepare for it accordingly. The interview is brief and is conducted by a panel of Steering Committee members.
Are all applicants scheduled for an interview?
No. The Steering Committee will review applications to determine which applicants will be invited to interview.
How many applicants will be selected?
Approximately 30 candidates will be selected for participation in a given Class.
If I am not selected this year, can I reapply?
Yes! Due to the limited number of positions available, we can not accept everyone who applies but we encourage you to apply again.
How much does it cost?
Tuition includes the retreat, all materials, food and the first year alumni dues. Tuition is due and payable prior to the retreat. The tuition cost is currently $1,095.
I can’t afford the tuition and my employer will not sponsor me. What can I do?
Partial scholarships are available from the Leadership Fresno Alumni Association to qualified applicants. The maximum scholarship is one-half (1/2) the cost of the tuition. Unfortunately, there may not be a sufficient number of scholarships available to be awarded to all candidates who request assistance. Payment plans are also available for qualified candidates.
