Its been my pleasure serving as Alumni President in 2012. I’m very excited about the future of our association.
We have seen an amazing resurgence, beginning in 2011, for the Leadership Fresno Alumni Association, with many alumni getting re-engaged in leadership roles.
Fireside Chats have been high points for me personally. We relaunched Fireside Chats by first hosting Mayor Ashley Swearengin, and we followed that up in November with an intimate discussion with Larry Powell. Our very last Chat was a panel with Deputy Police Chief, Pat Farmer as well as District Attorney Elizabeth Egan, and Fresno Sheriff Margaret Mims. If you are on the fence regarding alumni membership, the Fireside Chats alone, are worth the price of admission.
I’m happy to report that we have new websites for both the Chamber, Leadership Fresno & the Alumni Association. Plans for more frequent & efficient communications are fully underway in the form of Blogs, Social media (Facebook, Twitter & LinkedIN), and Constant Contact Email blasts.
Lastly, we are very close to launching our private Member Database. We will be inviting all 800+ Alumni to become paid Alumni Association members – which will give them private access to the database and invitations to Fireside Chats, among other benefits.
Membership invitations, dues, Contact info, and custom (member edited) profiles will all be managed directly through our website – this is very exciting!
Thanks for your continued interest in staying connected with other alumni and supporting Leadership Fresno and our community.
Stay tuned, and join the discussions online.
Sincerely,
Eric Tienken (class XIII)
