GAC Mission Statement

The mission of the Government Affairs Council (GAC) is to provide a basis for the Fresno Chamber of Commerce to act and influence local, state and federal government issues and have a good working relationship with its elected officials, thus creating a favorable and profitable business climate.

Each year, the Fresno Chamber of Commerce takes positions on laws that are being considered at all levels of government. Efforts are continually made to nurture relationships with local, regional and state elected officials and their staff to ensure that our member businesses are represented on issues that might have an impact to our city, region and state.

The Government Affairs Council (GAC) regularly scheduled meeting time is:

The second Wednesday of every month from Noon to 1:30 p.m. at the Chamber. The GAC meetings are open to the public; however, only the members of the GAC are allowed to vote on the agenda items.

Fresno Chamber PAC

The purpose of the Fresno Chamber PAC is to enhance and support the Fresno Chamber of Commerce’s ability to participate in the electoral process.

The Chamber PAC is your voice and lobbyist for choosing those candidates who will fight on behalf of business. Now more than ever, it’s important for the business community to elect those people who will work in our best interest and ensure that local businesses remain viable and competitive in the global market.
