Two members of the Kings County Board of Supervisors are backing one candidate in the District 1 race.
Garrett Gilcrease announced that he has received the endorsements of Supervisors Rusty Robinson and Joe Neves.
State of the race: Gilcrease, who is the President of the Kings County Farm Bureau, is running to succeed Neves.
- Neves has served on the board since he was first elected in 1994 and is retiring.
- The other candidates in the race are realtor Stefanie Silveira Chavez and farm management executive Martin Chavez.
What he’s saying: Gilcrease said he is deeply honored to receive the endorsements of Robinson and Neves.
- “As sitting members of the Board of Supervisors, they understand the responsibility, commitment, and leadership required to effectively govern Kings County,” Gilcrease said. “Their confidence in me means a great deal. By pairing their experience in county government with my real-world business and community leadership background, I am confident we can continue delivering practical, responsible leadership that keeps Kings County strong and moving forward for generations to come.”
