About Us
The Forward Fresno Foundation was established in 1984 as a 501c3 charitable non-profit arm of the Fresno Chamber of Commerce. The purpose of establishing the Foundation was to encourage and provide an entity to fiscally administer educational programs that are administered and managed through the Fresno Chamber of Commerce.
The Forward Fresno Foundation is supported by over 200 Chamber Members through annual donations. The mission of the Foundation is to develop and foster a sense of civic engagement and duty for the betterment of the community at large through educational programs that promote economic development through small business development.
Programs
Leadership Fresno challenges participants to increase their understanding of the community in which they live and work. Leadership Fresno graduates are ready to serve the public and private sectors in government agencies, nonprofit organizations, and small businesses.
The Junior Board offers young leaders an opportunity to gain a high-quality volunteer experience while collaborating with teens from all over Fresno County. Participants learn the importance of sustaining the business environment and are equipped with the skills to affect change in their schools, neighborhoods, and community.
San Joaquin Political Academy enhances the leadership qualities of individuals who are committed to working with businesses to solve the region’s economic and social problems. The Academy will educate students on the issues facing the region and prepare them to run for elected office.
Small Business University offers business owners seminars that address key topics in the areas of Human Resources, Insurance, Financial Management, Government Contracting, Marketing, Sales, and Technology. The program is dedicated to empowering Fresno entrepreneurs by providing information, guidance, and support needed to ensure business success, stability, and continued contribution to the Central Valley’s economic prosperity.
