This Week in brief:

– Council President Soria and Councilman Olivier are bringing forward an item on economic incentives/developer impact fee waivers for businesses in certain areas of the community.

– The deadline for election certification is approaching, and we are anxiously awaiting the results in a number of close races throughout the state.

This Week in brief:

We are waiting to see the final results of the November 6 General Election, this midterm election had record turnout.
The city council will be looking to continue a program that provides fee waivers for businesses and development in certain parts of the city.
Our thoughts and prayers are with the fellow Californians in LA County and Northern California who are being affected by wildfire.
With different parties controlling the house/senate we hope that they can work together to continue addressing issues like immigration and trade.

  • The city will be looking at revisions to the language submitted to voters for Measure P
  • There will be a workshop on possible revenue generation for public safety from the sale of the city’s parking garage on Kern and H.
  • The council will also be reviewing contracts relating to commercial waste in the city.
