FRESNO, Calif. – A new board game representing the best of Fresno is in the works.

Monopoly, a fan favorite, selected Fresno as one of the few cities nationwide for this opportunity, and Fresnans now have the chance to play a part in shaping the game.

Thursday afternoon, Top Trumps (worldwide licensee for Hasbro) representative, Jennifer Tripsea, along with City of Fresno Mayor, Jerry Dyer, and President/CEO of the Chamber of Commerce, Scott Miller, welcomed none other than Mr. Monopoly himself to the Central Valley. Accompanied by the city’s mascots, the event marked the beginning of an exciting collaboration.

Monopoly, Fresno Edition, is set to spotlight the hidden gems, local businesses, historic landmarks and more. To ensure Fresno is accurately represented, the company is turning to the locals for help.

From now until May 10, community members can share their ideas for what should be included in these Fresno-specific squares by emailing fresno@toptrumps.com. Whether it’s a favorite local hangout, a significant site, or a quirky feature that makes Fresno unique, every suggestion counts.

The projected release date for the game is set for November 2024. It will be available for purchase through local retailers and online–just in time for the holiday season. This may just be the perfect gift for any Fresno expert or board game enthusiast.
