Fresno Chamber of Commerce Announces Interim CEO

(FRESNO, CA) – The Fresno Area Chamber of Commerce announces a change in leadership as Nathan Ahle, the Chamber’s President/ CEO, has chosen to leave the organization to pursue other professional interests. “I have greatly enjoyed my time at the Chamber, but it is time to move on,” Ahle said. “This organization has a bright future ahead with dedicated volunteers and an incredibly hard-working staff. I have no doubt that the Chamber will continue to be the leading organization in Fresno’s business community for generations to come.” Subsequently, local business leader Scott Miller will step forward as the organization’s Interim CEO.

“We want to thank Nathan for his leadership and service these past five years,” said Joe Denham, Chair of the Board. “The chamber and its members have always appreciated his steadfast support of local businesses and our community.”

Miller will assume his new role immediately, committing to the responsibilities associated with leading the chamber’s ongoing legislative advocacy efforts and supporting its over 1200 business members.

Miller is the CEO of Gazebo Gardens Inc., Miller – Clark Landscape & Nursery Co., Inc. and a partner in several other local businesses. He was born and raised in Fresno and started working at the age of 16, maintaining shopping centers and apartment complexes for a property management company. More than 30 years later, he is a respected and recognized leader in the local business community – serving on several community boards and committees.

Miller served as the 2012 Chairman for the Fresno Chamber of Commerce and received the “Small Business Advocate of the Year” award in 2014 from the California State Chamber of Commerce. He currently serves on the executive committees of the Fresno Regional Workforce Development Board, Storyland/Playland and Fresno State Alumni Association. Miller holds a Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Studies and a Master’s in Business Administration.
